Happy 4th

It must be the old "hippie" in me. I love this Uncle Sam. So I thought I would put it on to wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.

Vision Board

Hi,
Yesterday I watched Oprah and she and her guests were talking about positive atracting positive and negative attracting negative. I have beleived this for many years but never heard anyone talk about it on tv. She also talked about a vision board. I had never heard of this approach. But it is a neat idea. I think I will try to make one. I think everyone should connect to their inner self. Good idea Oprah.

Changed the look!

I finally figured out how to add different background, make a banner and add music. What do you think? I hope it is worth all the work and aggrevation. But I think it looks more like my own.

Here is a photo of my gazebo. After the loss of the old tree we needed something to fill up the space in the yard.

Now things are looking better..

Ode to the Tree



When we moved here in two thousand one,
The tree was a neighborhood icon,
Everyone amazed at its size,
The question of its age did always arise,

For it has stood for many a year,
And when it fell all shed a tear,
Under it we played and decorated its girth,
For all around its uniqueness was its worth,

We will miss the tree for now its gone,
No longer here to decorate our lawn,

And only pictures left to sing its song!

Well, its gone, the neighbors
all helped us get it out of the yard. The young woman across the streets Dad has
the log truck, and someone else had the rollback. Golly what great neighbors, I
thought we would be trying to get rid of this for a long time. Now there is just
a little clean up.
